Cledan Valley Glamping Site Powys, Wales
Tucked away in the wilds of Mid Wales in Carno lies a small, unspoiled valley surrounded by hills and streams. It was here that a local couple wished to share their love of this place with others and so created a unique camping site with tipis so that people could really get away from it all.
Unlike many of the modern glamping sites Cledan Valley was more than canvas shelters in the corner of a field. This really is a wild and natural place. Other than a few strimmed walkways around the nine acre site the grass, trees, and wildlife go about their business as if you were not here. We have an amazing array of flora and fauna and it is possible to see otters, red kites and much more without leaving your tent.
MONGOLIAN YURTS – Still used today as the homes of the nomadic people in the steppes of central Asia the yurt or ger is a fantastic way to experience your glamping holiday.
BELL TENTS – Bell tents were once used by the British Cavalry but actually have their camping history origins in tipis, with high steep sides they offer a lot of interior space.
TIPIS – Once home to buffalo hunters on the great plains of the United States you too can now step back in time and experience staying in one of our traditional Sioux tipis.
SHEPHERD HUT – Release the farmer Giles in you and stay in a traditional shepherd’s hut, used in the 19th & 20th century by shepherds during sheep raising and lambing seasons.

Starry Meadow Camping – Hay Festival Glamping
We are an exclusive ‘pop up’ Glamping village, for 14 days only! Think Flags and bunting, strings of lights and evenings sat around the fire pit, all surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our spacious, canvas tents sleep up to 4 (a 5th & 6th child can be accommodated) on comfy beds to ensure a good night’s sleep and are well spaced to allow for social distancing. A reasonably priced marquee bar with socially distanced tables and food outlets are available on site (breakfast and evening meals).
‘Starry Meadow’ is set in an exclusive location, which wouldn’t usually be used as a campsite. It is within the Brecon Beacons National Park with it’s stunning mountain scenery and dark skies status. The river Wye with it’s pebble beaches, wild swimming and canoeing is just a short walk away as is the beautiful town of Hay-on-Wye with it’s array of bookstores, vintage shops and quality food outlets.

Cefn Crib Campsite & Caravan Park is a small family-run camping and glamping park in Powys all set on a working farm in Snowdonia National Park. It is located four miles from the historic and picturesque market town of Machynlleth, and only a few miles from the golden sands of Aberdyfi.
Cae Nant Glamping – Llanfyllin, Powys, Wales.
Cae Nant glamping site is a small family run site set amongst the beautiful countryside and stunning scenery of Powys, mid Wales. In the quiet solitude of the Welsh hills, you could be fooled into thinking you were a thousand miles from civilisation, but a short drive into the town of Llanfyllin means we are easily accessible and well placed for local amenities.
The site has 3 luxury fully insulated geodesic domes. Each dome is well equipped with their own private kitchen, bathroom, wood burner, bbq fire-pit, hammock, star gazing roof and hot tub. They are perfect for a romantic getaway or for families to enjoy time together without distractions.
You could add some extras too and book the pizza oven to make your very own tasty wood fired pizzas or hire the projector for a cinema night with popcorn and chocolate. We also cater for larger groups with the ‘whole site exclusive hire’ which includes all the extras and can accommodate up to 22 guests. Oh, and not to forget we are dog friendly so all the family are welcome.
Wild Meadow – Discoyd, Presteigne, Powys, Wales.
Our Shepherd’s Hut & Eco-Cottage on the Welsh Borders are nestled in three and a half acres of meadows and orchards, Wild Meadow is the perfect place to escape and unwind. Come and explore the stunning countryside and discover the popular market towns nearby.
The Shepherd’s hut, settled on top of the slope, gives you far reaching views across the valley. It sits peacefully amongst the waving grasses with badger trails a stone’s throw away.
