In contrast, you may like to camp near the historic town of Stamford offers a peaceful retreat, surrounded by lush fields and woodlands. This is a perfect area for those who enjoy a more secluded and quiet camping experience, with plenty of space for tents and a great base for exploring the nearby towns and countryside.
The Willows Camping & Caravan Site – Laceby, Grimsby, Lincolnshire
We are a peaceful camping and caravan site in Laceby, Lincolnshire.
We have around thirty pitches, with optional electric hookup. Families are welcome, as are dogs. Facilities include hot showers, toilets, washing up, drinking water, recycling and chemical disposal. We don’t allow hen/stag parties, and request quiet time after 10.30pm.
There is a lake and woodland on site. We are surrounded by countryside, but with easy access to amenities. There is a golf course, spa and restaurant/bar next door. There is also a shop, takeaway and public transport within one mile.
We’re just six miles to the seaside town of Cleethorpes, where you can find lots of family activities. Enjoy the beach, fun fair and Lollipop Train, which operates in the summer months. If you’re looking for something more cultural try Waltham Windmill, five miles from us. This is a working windmill, with shops, a Rural Life museum and an RAF exhibition on site. Further afield is the superb Lincoln Castle, home to the original 1215 Magna Carta.
